Σούρα 87 Al-A'la (The Most High), αγιά 9 – 19

1. فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ

   So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

   87:9

2. سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ

   He who fears (Allah) will be reminded.

   87:10

3. وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى

   But the wretched one will avoid it -

   87:11

4. الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ

   (He) who will (enter and) burn in the greatest Fire,

   87:12

5. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ

   Neither dying therein nor living.

   87:13

6. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ

   He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

   87:14

7. وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ

   And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

   87:15

8. بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

   But you prefer the worldly life,

   87:16

9. وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

   While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

   87:17

10. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ

    Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

    87:18

11. صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ

    The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

    87:19
